Food for Thought
Take a 'bite' out of tuition costs with food-related scholarships.
Hungry for some help with high tuition costs? Here are some food-related scholarships:
Be a Pepper:
Dr. Pepper gives students 18 - 24 between $1,000 and $100,000 by answering the question: “What is your one of a kind goal and how do you plan to make an impact on the world?”
Each year the Vegetarian Resource Group awards $20,000 in scholarships to three high-school seniors who have promoted vegetarianism in their communities.
Students 13 - 18 planning to attend college can submit an essay about a time when food created a memory. Winners can earn $20,000 for their continuing education.
Coffee for Less:
Students 18 - 25 years old enrolled in college can win up to $500 by submitting a 500-word essay about the importance of education and how the scholarship money will assist their goals. Bonus points will be awarded to those who creatively include their passion for coffee within their essay without losing sight of the primary topic.
Flavor of the Month:
Here’s the scoop for this sweet scholarship! Those 13 or older are eligible to win $1,500 by submitting a 250-word essay answering which flavor they would be if they were an ice-cream flavor. And why?
In a Jif:
Children aged of 6 -12 who make the most original sandwich using Jif peanut butter could win a $25,000 college fund. Thanks, Jif!
