It’s About Time
Wilton Library Association's Spring Gala
Do you ever dream of tearing up the racetrack at Mohegan Sun in a gull-wing Mercedes sports coupe or a rose-red Ferrari? How about taking an exclusive VIP tour of the Bronx Zoo?
Exciting destinations and unique experiences will be up for grabs when the Wilton Library Association hosts its Spring Gala on Saturday April 2, 2016 at the Silver Spring Country Club. And the gala will celebrate the library’s 120th year in grand style.
“The Wilton Library Association first began as a collection of 150 books housed in the town post office,” says executive director Elaine Tai-Lauria. “Today, our library contains a large collection of books, multimedia, online, and digital resources, and is the cornerstone of the community in so many ways. That growth is thanks to the tremendous support that we have had with each generation, and which continues to be needed as we go forward.”
The library’s past and future will be woven throughout the gala in many ways, including original clock-themed invitations and centerpieces highlighting a variety of timekeepers and classic novels.
A video presentation will show the evolution of the library over the past 120 years, while special recognition will be given to Thomas and Virginia Adams, whose efforts in supporting and growing the library span decades.
Tickets $225 per person at wiltonlibrary.org.
