Keith Richards and wife Patti Hansen live in a sprawling Italian-style villa painted pink, orange, and blue that abuts the 1,700-acre Devil’s Den in Weston. “It’s not called New England for nothing—a lot of it reminds me very much of parts of England,” he says of this area. Covering the walls are black-and-white photographs of Hansen from Glamour and Vogue and a portrait by Johnny Depp of Keith, cigarette dangling from his mouth: a painting made with layers of rolling papers. When not at home, Richards has been spotted out locally.
“[Luc’s has] been here for 15 years, and it’s become one of the most popular French bistros in New England. And it happens to be my local hang,” Richards said to a Rolling Stone writer who interviewed him there this fall.
In 2014, Richards appeared at a Willie Nelson concert at Levitt Pavilion in Westport, emerging onstage saying, “I’ve always wanted to play with Willie.”
May 2012, Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan hosted its 90th-anniversary benefit and gala, “Paint it Black,” and Patti Hansen and Keith Richards attended as honorary chairs (pictured right with Silvermine guests).
May 2004, Keith gave a surprise performance at the BoxCar with David Honeyboy Edwards and Rocky Lawrence in Southport.
