Walking Tour: Social Lives of Litchfield Students

Description

Join the Litchfield Historical Society for Saturday morning walking tours exploring new themes and areas of the town. Walking tours last about an hour, be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. Tours begin at the Litchfield History Museum at 10 a.m.

Saturday, July 14: Social Lives at the Litchfield Female AcademyLearn more about America's original co-ed college town with a special walking tour about the social lives of students who attended the Litchfield Law School and Litchfield Female Academy. Hear more about their activities, social events, and even romances between students. After the tour, visit our new exhibit By the Virtue of its Citizens: Educating a New Nation at Sarah Pierce's Academy.

Walking Tours are free for members and $5 for non-members. Registration is required. Payment is required with registration.
