Tasting of Rare & Exotic Honey & Mead - September 14 at 7:30 - 9:00 pm Tasting of Rare & Exotic Honey & Mead

Sep 14, 2017
07:30 PM until 09:30 PM

Once in a lifetime you stumble upon magic, an experience like no other. A moment in time, a place where a flower flourished and a bee who worked her whole life for you to taste a rare moment that will never happen again.

Honeybees play a vital role in our food chain, pollinating one-third of the food we eat and producing a wide range of varietal honeys. Marina Marchese, author and Italian-trained honey expert, will present an intimate guided tasting of rare and exotic honeys with mead and cheese pairings. During the evening, she will explain how bees make honey, how terroir - floral source, seasonality, region and climate affect the color, aroma and flavor of each honey. This special event is the ultimate gourmet, honey lover’s experience!

Guest will have the opportunity to taste two kinds of locally made mead. Honey food pairings will include sweet and savory accompaniments such as cheese, fruit, chocolate, olive oil, nuts, bread, spices and herbs.
