Service Stations, Garages and Mechanics - Then and Now

May 16, 2017
06:30 PM until 07:30 PM

The Gunn Historical Museum’s Washington History Club at Night will meet to discuss service stations, garages, gas pumps, car dealers, and mechanics then and now. This event is open to the public.

Many local garages began as carriage shops operated by blacksmiths and switched to auto repair as the mode of transportation transitioned from horse-drawn carriages to the automobile. Bring your favorite stories and memories to share about interesting past and present service stations in Washington, the people who worked there, and the folks who frequented them!
