The Mattatuck Museum presents “The Valley Girls” with an exhibit running from September 10 – November 12, 2017. A special reception will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 1-3pm.
Mally DeSomma, Judith Gould Secco and June Pierpont Webster were all born and raised in the Naugatuck River Valley. While their interests have varied, all three artists recognize that their early beginnings of life in the Naugatuck River Valley have left an indelible mark on their work. Their work seen here will share nostalgia for the simpler days of their youth, memories of when towns up and down the Valley were booming with industry, and a celebration of the Valley’s natural beauty that has withstood time.
This exhibition is a collaboration with Artsplace of Cheshire, Ct.
The Mattatuck Museum is located at 144 West Main St., Waterbury, CT.
