Things To Do

For the Love of Felines

Date/Time

Nov 10, 2018
11:00 AM until 02:00 PM

Description

Kiki Michalek will present a photographic journey of a feline colony that she took into her care with the life lessons learned from a family that could not be ignored.

Join the artist for the close of her exhibit as she walks you down the path of a journey that spans over 15 years with a group of animals that had an uncertain future. Kiki will offer insight to the challenges, the rewards and the heartbreak of taking on a situation that could have had a very different ending. “With trust and commitment, I was able to turn things around for these animals. I never asked for them to be in my life. I simply could not turn my back on them. They were just coming out of the woodwork.”  She will offer information on Trap, Neuter and Release and how it solved the population explosion caused by one single fertile female cat. “My goal with this exhibit is to open a conversation about the importance of Spay and Neuter and to let people know that these animals can be kept healthy and safe to live out their lives.”

Please note, this is not an adoption event and is not a rescue group. Information will be provided on basic care and TNR. Please leave your fur babies at home but do bring your human friends for refreshments and reflection.
