With the opening night gala scheduled for Saturday, July 29 at 7:30 pm and running for 4 weeks through August 20th, Clay & Wattles Theater Company is pleased to present the much beloved musical “Fiddler on the Roof.” This much heralded musical evokes laughter and heartwarming drama, with the 2017 production once again featuring Thomas Camm as Tevyeh the dairyman. He will be joined by a professional cast and new choreography and staging by director/choreographer Sally Camm. The original Broadway production of "Fiddler" opened in 1964 with Zero Mostel in the role of Tevyeh and ran for over 3,200 performances (900 were sold out) with Jerome Robbins holding the dual roles of director and choreographer. Winning 9 Tony Awards including Direction, Score, Book and Choreography, the musical was followed by the highly successful film version in 1971 starring the Israeli born actor Topol and directed by Norman Jewison.
