On February 17 at 11 am, Noble Horizons welcomes Dr. Joshua R. Ginsberg, President of the Carey Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, New York.  Dr. Ginsberg will present, “Climate Change: Five Reasons to Be Optimistic About Our Future.” 

 

Dr. Ginsberg’s career in conservation science spans 35 years and several continents.  After earning his B.S. from Yale University and Ph.D. from Princeton University, he joined the Wildlife Conservation Society where as Director of Asia and Pacific Programs he managed projects in 17 Asian countries. Dr. Ginsberg has been an adjunct professor at Columbia University since 1998 and has helped manage Columbia’s Center for Environmental Research and Conservation. 

 

Dr. Ginsberg has been a Research Fellow at Oxford University and currently serves on the boards of the Ocean Foundation, the Open Space Institute, and the Catskill Mountain keeper.  He is also a member of the advisory council of the American Museum of Natural History's Center for Biodiversity and Conservation.
