September 6th- The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck                                  Amid the ashes of Nazi Germany’s defeat, Marianne von Lingenfels returns to the once-grand castle of her husband’s ancestors, an imposing stone fortress now fallen into ruin following years of war.


Wednesday, October 17th (10:30-12:00)- Lakota Woman by Mary Crow Dog                                                                                                                             Discussion lead by Heather Ostman

Rebelling against the aimless drinking, punishing missionary school and narrow strictures for women of reservation life Mary Brave Bird, she joined the new movement of tribal pride that swept her community in the sixties and seventies. Please note the change in date.


Wednesday, November 14st (1:00-2:30)- House Made of Dawn by N. Scott Momaday                                                                                                                      Discussion Lead by Heather Ostman

A young Native American, Abel has come home from war to find himself caught between two worlds; wedded to the harsh beauty of the land and the rites and traditions of his people, while being drawn to modern, industrial America. Please note the change in date and time.
