The Art of It: All Black and White
Michelle Fisher's work strikes a familiar chord
Michelle Fisher is a Ridgefield-based painter and an active member of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists. Fisher works in many mediums, however her predominate mediums are acrylic and oil. “Michelle’s paintings strike a familiar chord in you,” says Jennifer Mathy, owner of Watershed Gallery and an organizer of Art Walk. “Her work can capture a pose with an emotional twist that makes it personal to the owner. She constantly strives to push herself toward a new threshold in art.” Art Walk kicks off on August 22 and the festival runs until September 14. More than 50 restaurants, businesses, and cultural venues will showcase the work of 64 artists in windows and on shop walls, transforming downtown Ridgefield into a strolling art gallery.
