A variety of art related events and festivals in the area from Nov 17-19
The stars are in alignment for four of Ridgefield’s premier holiday markets to occur the third week of November. The fun begins with the opening of ARTique the evening of November 17. Featuring a boutique of pottery made by members of Connecticut Clay Artists and objects by artists in other media, Artique takes place at St. Stephen’s Church, 351 Main St. It runs through November 19.
Founders Hall Wreath Festival opens the evening of November 18 with a lavish Beefsteak Community Feast preview (ticketed). The festival continues through November 20 with the continued display and sale of wreaths, garlands, and swags by local designers and a holiday boutique. Proceeds support Founders Hall, a donor-supported education center open without charge to members age 60 and older.
Also on November 18 is the opening night party (ticketed) for Ridgefield Guild of Artists Festive Home in the barn gallery. Guild artists and local decorators transform the space into a Merry and Bright holiday emporium in this fundraiser for the RGA, which plays a major role in the regional arts community.
For one day only, Nov. 19, the Ridgefield Women’s Club Craft Fair showcases the work of 100 professional crafters at the East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge Rd.
