Mima’s Meatballs & More—a fast-casual restaurant
Meatballs are a top contender on anyone’s list of comfort foods—smothered with red sauce, piled on spaghetti, or stuffed into a warm, fresh roll. Mmm, mmm, good. Of course, these dishes are typically one in a list of pasta selections at Italian restaurants or sandwiches at a deli. So—sometimes good, sometimes not so good.
Now there’s Mima’s Meatballs & More—a new fast-casual restaurant and takeout spot that has opened in the Marketplace, across the lot from No. 109 Cheese. Yes, you will find the aforementioned uses of meatballs, but you will also find many, many more ways of serving this delectable, spicy orb of goodness. Try a Caesar salad—and add some meatballs. Or there’s Mima’s Salad: arugula with plum tomatoes, cannellini beans, onion, and herbs—and some meatballs. There are meatball sliders. There’s pizza, on fried dough, with or without meatballs.
There are specials such as a bread bowl, from Ross Bread Shoppe, filled with meatballs. There are gluten-free options. Or you can simply order meatballs, with a choice of sauces: marinara, arrabiata, sweet & sour, teriyaki, sweet chili, Buffalo, or brown gravy. Then there’s the “& More”: chicken skewers, sausage sliders, mac & cheese, pasta dishes with no meatballs, and a nice selection of desserts.
