The Look

Hair and makeup for the holidays

Improvements at Adam Broderick Salon & Spa include a Now Bar for nails, demonstrations, and, well, champagne. The salon stations got a fresh look as well.

Being in a dark room with soothing music and a skilled masseuse should be near the top of anyone’s regular to-do list. A recent full-body massage at Adam Broderick Salon & Spa proved to be Zen mindfulness and physical rehab all in one tidy hour. To add to the experience, the longtime Ridgefield landmark recently had a makeover itself: “My vision was an amenity-rich, tech-savvy space with beautiful lighting, as well as visually pleasing aspirational comfort,” Broderick told us.

“We are on a mission to provide high-quality beauty services in an elegant, well-designed setting.” Some upgrades include a new tablet check-in system, strategically located charging stations, high speed WiFi, a digital video wall, and complimentary amenities such as Starbucks coffee and wine. The second floor is all decked out: now illuminated by floor-to-ceiling curved windows that allow for natural light and expanded views. Shampoo lounges with reclining chaises pamper clients during the signature shampoo experience. A Now Bar is the location for
services such as manicures, demonstrations, or a meeting with a personal beauty shopper. Here are other spas and salons in town.
