The Rare and Unusual Plant sale at Hollister House Gardens
The Hollister House Gardens are situated on a sprawling English-style estate in sylvan Washington and feature a kaleidoscopic array of flora on 25 acres. The gardens are a breathtaking sight to behold and are an inspiration to the local growers and gardeners that the Hollister House has continued to support.
On September 12 and 13, 2015 in conjunction with the Garden Conservancy, the Hollister House gives back to the growing community by playing host to the symposium, The Living Garden: Nature and Design, to be followed by a Rare and Unusual Plant sale as part of the annual Hollister House Garden Study Weekend.
Symposium festivities include lectures by authors, garden professionals, horticulturalists, landscape architects, and preservationists on a variety of garden-related topics. The Rare and Unusual Plant sale brings in specialty vendors from across New England that specialize in uncommon perennials, peonies, and a variety of other unusual late-season plants.
At the culmination of the symposium, on Saturday evening, can join the speakers and garden professionals at the cocktail reception in the Garden.
Registration for the symposium, cocktail party, and early viewing of the Unusual Plant sale is $195. Tickets for the cocktail party and preview are $40 for members, $45 for non-members. Visit hollisterhousegarden.org for more information.
