The Art of It: Wonder
Michael Quadland puts feelings into visual form
Before returning to painting, Michael Quadland worked as a clinical psychologist and a professor at Mt. Sinai Medical School. He now paints fulltime in Litchfield. In his art, Quadland focuses on the expression of emotion. “One thing I enjoy most about painting is the process of putting feelings into visual form,” says Quadland, who works in acrylic on panel, employing layered surfaces in a nonobjective format in order to maximize imagination and projection.
His work will be at the Hudson Mercantile in Hudson, New York, from October 10 to December 15, 2015.
