Prime Time House is opening its first pop-up
Just in time for holiday shopping, Prime Time House is opening its first pop-up shop in Bantam. The organization, headquartered in Torrington, is a clubhouse program for mentally ill adults. Since its inception in 1988, Prime Time has helped hundreds of individuals to find employment and to lead useful, productive lives.
Prime Finds Home for the Holidays officially opened on November 20, in the former Business Center space, next to Sportsmen’s at 725 Bantam Road (Route 202). Merchandise for sale ranges from antiques, furniture, home goods, and accessories to holiday decorations and gift items, but will not include books, clothing, or electronics. The Bantam shop is modeled on the original Prime Finds located in Lakeville, which began as a pop-up and is now a year-round source of income for the organization.
“We are grateful to Jay Cherosnick, who is the owner of Sportsmen’s, for renting space at a discounted rate,” says Prime Time House executive director Lisa Lynch. “His generosity has enabled us to make a limited-time commitment and to test the waters to see if the area will support a branch of Prime Finds.” The shop will remain open through December 30.
Donations are accepted at the shop. To donate items, call contact director of development Kathi Weinstein: 860-618-2479 (ext. 103) or email@example.com.
