Dessert in a Glass
Hot Chocolate Mint
Tips from a master mixologist:
Sometimes we need to drink our dessert and winter is one of those times. Combining full-bodied Anejo tequila with just a touch of mint liqueur and rich hot chocolate is a combination clearly sent by the angels. Layer a little lightly whipped cream on top and the flavors will sing.
- 1 ¼ oz Anejo tequila
- ¼ oz rumplemintz or other high-proof mint liqueur
- 3 oz. rich hot chocolate
- unsweetened lightly whipped cream
Prepare cream by pouring heavy whipping cream into a medium-sized metal pitcher. Whisk briskly for approximately 1 minute so cream is thick and pourable but not fluffy.
In a small wine glass or Irish-coffee mug add tequila, mint liqueur, and hot chocolate. Carefully pour cream over top of mixture to layer it on (about ½ inch layer). Optional: grate chocolate over cream
