Reaping & Sowing
A restaurant with naturally sourced ingredients you can trust
Harvest Wine Bar opened its third location last fall, in the space formerly home to Westport’s beloved Mario’s. Owners Vicente, Kleber, and Nube Siguenza are very serious about sourcing the “farm to fork” menu which focuses heavily on the season’s bounty. With locally grown produce, seafood “right off the boat from Hunts Point Market,” and grass-fed beef from a farm in upstate New York, quality and freshness are paramount. While you may notice a few familiar favorites from 55 Degrees in Fairfield, like the popular shaved Brussels sprouts salad and ricotta gnocchi, Vicente describes the menu as “more American with a Mediterranean flare” than its sister restaurant. While the food is not to be missed, the speciality of the house is an impressive number of wines by the glass (nearly 45), in addition to over 200 more by the bottle. Open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
