Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
Taste of Fairfield launches October 9, 2016
What do Fairfielders love to do—more than just about anything? Eat good food. With this goal in mind, Fairfield Magazine and its parent company TownVibe are bringing the Taste of Fairfield—a special culinary event—to town this fall.
On October 9, from 1 to 5 pm, the outdoor patio of Southport’s Delamar Hotel and Artisan Restaurant will be transformed into a meeting place for foodies everywhere, celebrating talented chefs and food purveyors that feature cuisine of all types and flavors. “The Delamars are at the heart of Fairfield County and home to many wonderful events. We are thrilled to be the venue for the inaugural Taste of Fairfield and look forward to welcoming the community to enjoy the variety of cuisine Fairfield County offers,” says Charles Mallory, founder and CEO of The Greenwich Hospitality group.
For one ticket price, guests can enjoy food samples of all varieties from more than two dozen businesses, as well as craft beer, wine, signature cocktails, and sweets. From tried-and-true classics, to funky new flavors, Fairfield’s diverse food scene offers something for every palate. Guests can try rustic Italian bites, American grill food, fresh seafood, Spanish tapas, or classic Asian noodles.
The best part of it all? You don’t have to choose just one. The featured restaurants and businesses include Artisan, Aspetuck Brew Lab, B. Good, Brick + Wood, Cake Box, Fairfield Cheese Company, Freshii Fairfield, Geronimo, Joe’s American Bar & Grill, Little Goose, Little Pub, Mecha Noodle Bar, NOM-EEZ, Old Post Tavern, Riverside Baking Company, Shearwater Coffee Roasters, Taberna Tapas, Toto, and The Whelk/Kawa Ni.
“Good things happen when people connect over good food,” says TownVibe publisher Geoffrey Morris.
“Local businesses are joining in on the fun, and we are proud to have some terrific sponsors,” says associate publisher Martha Morris. Sponsors include Black Rock Galleries, Land Rover of Milford, Sacred Heart University, Balducci’s, and Yumi Eco Solutions. As guests roam, food in hand, they can enjoy live music, and roving entertainment. Raffles and food drives will be held to benefit the event’s charity partner Operation Hope. Star 99.9 will have a radio crew on site to cover the event as well.
General-admission tickets for the event are $50 and include all food, drink, and entertainment. VIP Admission to Black Rock Galleries Lounge costs $100 and includes all food, drink, and entertainment, plus private parking. Guests under 21 years old are $20 and children under ten are free.
