Take 5: Make-up
Tips for Fall/Winter
Marne’s Makeup Tips for Fall/Winter
Use a gel, mask, or scrub, but get rid of those dead skin cells. A washcloth will make it work even better. No residue on the skin means a smooth, perfect makeup application.
Most people do not use enough moisturizer on their faces, making themselves look dehydrated instead of radiant. Use a hydrating gel containing hyaluronic acid.
Use a foundation that matches your skin tone. Apply enough to erase redness and then blend it out with a sponge (egg-shaped is best) or a tightly packed blending brush.
Shadow is so much fun, and there are abundant how-to videos online. Eyeliner looks best on the upper lid only .
Be adventurous. Try Maybelline’s “Loaded Bolds.” A smart rule: If you’re doing a dramatic eye, then do a sheer or nude color on the lips, and vice versa.
