Little Pub, Big Fun
Little Pub's continues to expand its successful formula of a lively pub atmosphere and tasty food
After much anticipation, the fourth Little Pub opened in Fairfield this summer to rave reviews. Owners Doug and Daneen Grabe were thrilled to make the newest pub a reality in their hometown. “Lots of people were asking, saying it would be great to have little pub in Fairfield,” explains Grabe. “We are so excited to be here as part of the community.”
The largest of the four locations seats about 130 and consists of a bar, a dining room, and even a room for private parties, which is complete with a separate entrance and its own projection system.
The space was totally renovated, which Grabe jokes was “a facelift that turned into major reconstructive surgery.” A double-sided fieldstone fireplace serves as the focal point of the dining room, and is surrounded by reclaimed wooden beams, plastered walls, and mismatched chandeliers sourced from antique stores. “We wanted to be authentic to the space, and have things look like they’ve been here for years,” says Grabe.
The menu features a large selection of “little plates,” signature burgers, salads, and entrées including steak frites, Ahi tuna tacos, and lobster mac and cheese. In addition to great food, there are seven rotating taps which focus on regional craft beer. Both the menu and the beer change seasonally, so there’s always a little something new to taste.
