Fairfield's town-wide Halloween event transforms the Historic Green on into an unforgettable (and free) celebration––October 30
Fairfield has plans to entertain you as never before this Halloween, transforming the Historic Green on October 30, 2016 into an unforgettable (and free) town-wide event that celebrates one of America’s favorite holidays. Formerly Trick or Treat on Safety Street, this celebration will be full day of seasonal festivities.
Organized by the Fairfield Museum and History Center, in partnership with The Town, The Chamber of Commerce, and other community organizations, the event will present a pet parade, a child costume parade, pumpkin decorating, a bounce house, and more.
Fairfield’s Chamber of Commerce will also hold its outdoor shopping fair, Market on the Green. With over 45 vendors, there’ll be something for everyone.
Event sponsors include Newman’s Own, Kids First Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, Willows Pediatric Group, Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, Knights of Columbus Council 2616, and Father Coleman Foundation of Fairfield Inc., Magic Beans, Tumble Jungle, and TownVibe.
The historic houses on the Green will be decorated with special themes: Wizarding at the Old Academy, the Sun Tavern Icky Room, and a Victorian Creepy Cottage.
The event is not scary, ideal for children 12 and under, and of course, pooches of all ages. Visit fairfieldCTchamber.com/events to register your pet for the parade, $5 fee. For more information or to volunteer, call 203-259-1598 or visit fairfieldhistory.org.
