Don Gummer is probably best known for his Constructivist sculptures, but his considerable body of work also encompasses collages, drawings, watercolors, and more.
Linda Wolk-Simon, Fairfield University’s director and chief curator of university museums, brought the Salisbury-based artist to Fairfield for his show Armature of Emotion: Drawings and Sculptures, on view until June 11, 2016 at the Quick Center’s Walsh Art Gallery.
Gummer says he created Passage (pictured), “to visually express a sense of inexorable, lyrical, and ascending movement, around and through a stabile core,” explains Gummer.
