Massimo’s Pizzeria Ristorante is much more than just delicious pizza
Massimo’s Pizzeria Ristorante is turning thirty.
The Bridgeport mainstay, located near the Beardsley Zoo is much more than just delicious pizza. Massimo’s offers a full menu that includes pastas, chicken, and veal entrées, but the real star is the seafood.
“People come for the seafood because it’s really fresh,” says Massimo’s daughter, Maryla Colandrea.
Try the sfizi platter, a combination of specialties including clams oreganata, calamari, and eggplant rollatini. The customizable catering menu is ideal for events, or dine at the restaurant, which has an old school Italian feel with modern touches. The front features pizza ovens, a counter, and a casual eating area, while the back dining room has cloth covered tables and pictures of Italian scenery lining the Venetian stucco walls.
“You feel like you’re in Italy,” explains Colandrea.“That’s important to my father.”
