bfresh with all of its fresh choices strives to make shopping fun
Bfresh opened in the newly constructed space behind Plan B Burger bar in October, and has been bustling ever since.
Created by Fresh Formats, LLC (which shares a parent company with Stop and Shop), the new store hopes to bring “a new grocery shopping experience” to Fairfield.
“Fairfield is a great community built of families, professionals, and students,” says marketing director Suzi Robertson. “We are happy to be adding to the area’s food culture.”
The 8600 square foot market has a full grocery department, including a bulk section, a deli, meat and seafood counters, a bakery, and a wide array of freshly prepared foods. Surrounding the well-stocked produce department (which also carries a large number of organics), the open “Little Kitchens” are hard at work preparing made-to-order smoothies, salads, pizzas, stir-fries, sandwiches, and even grilled items. Shop for dinner items while you wait for your lunch to be prepared, or swoon over the impressive dessert cases.
Everything is made in-house and from scratch, including homemade pastas, soups, sauces, and artisan breads. With pricing set to reflect a “smart value,” it won’t break the bank either.
“The days of trading quality for price and freshness for convenience are gone,” says bfresh team leader Dan Gormley. “bfresh eliminates trade-offs.” That means nothing prepared on site is frozen or pre-processed.
Robertson says it best: “we want to make grocery shopping fun again.”
