Give Where You Live
March 10 is Fairfield County Giving Day
Fairfield residents love to give and many do it year-round, whether it is in their time, their money, or both.
But on March 10, 2016 giving gets kicked up a few notches with the celebration of Fairfield County Giving Day, hosted by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation.
In its third year, this 24-hour online fundraiser offers a one-stop-shopping experience to support many causes. Tell your favorite non-profit and encourage them to register by February 18. Invite friends to join, “like” Fairfield County’s Community Foundation on Facebook and Twitter, use #FairfieldCountyGives to say why you are excited to take part and of course—donate on the big day.
The Fairfield Museum & History Center is celebrating with the Museum After Dark Giving Day: Brews and Bites, from 6 to 8 pm. Open to the public, with a minimum $10 donation, visitors are welcome to stop by to enjoy Kuhn’s chili and Two Roads Brewery beer.
“Fairfield Museum is excited to participate in Giving Day again. This will be a fun way for the community to come together to help fund programs, field trips, and other events that give students the chance to learn about our history and consider our future,” says director of development Shana Tuttle Wiswell. Local authors will discuss their books including Lost Restaurants of Fairfield by Patti Woods and Connecticut Beer: A History of Nutmeg State Brewing by Will Siss.
