Eat for a Cause
Fairfield Supper Club participants gather at a local home for a delicious meal to benefit charity
What do you get when you put together a great idea, great food, and a great cause?
The Fairfield Supper Club. The concept is simple; participants gather at a local home where they share an expertly prepared meal, and all proceeds go to charity. Founder Jeannine Swaim, a holistic-health coach, has always loved to cook and entertain, and modeled the club after the “pop-up dinners” popular in cities around the country.
After teaming up with friend and fellow foodie, Jim Meyers, they held a meal in Meyers’ home to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Seats sold out within two hours. Dinners range in size from ten to 40 attendees and cost $150 per couple.
