Miro Kitchen creates a delicious "east meets west" vibe offering a fresh new concept on food.
Black Rock Turnpike is getting its groove back in the form of a brand new Pacific Rim inspired eatery, Miro Kitchen (pronounced MY-ro). Occupying the former Tomato & Basil location, it takes its name from Miro Farms, which was once located on the site.
The space has been completely transformed by New York designer, Ana Stone, with a modern, “east meets west” vibe. Restaurateur Eugene Kabilnitsky partners with Chef Chris Gonzales (of the Stamford-based Hapa Food Truck) to create a menu drawing from the Philippines, Hawaii, Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, in the hopes of “reinvigorating the Black Rock Turnpike food scene with a fresh, new food concept.”
Chef Gonzalez, who was born in the Philippines and learned to cook in Hawaii, brings his creative flavor to Fairfield with dishes including Korean short-rib tacos, Ahi burgers, and Tikka Masala wings. Open for lunch and dinner daily.
