Tony D’Amico finds Fairfield the ideal place to paint
Tony D’Amico says his painting Beach Day is “an amalgamation of my many coastal experiences utilizing my visual memory. It is about light, action, and enjoyment—all that embodies a day at the beach.”
Retired now, D’Amico finds Fairfield the ideal place to paint because there are interesting subjects, in many diverse locations, all within an hour’s drive. He also creates studies of New York City, Litchfield, and the marshes along the shore. D’Amico has studied with nationally recognized artists such as Donald Demers, Matt Smith, Kenn Backhaus, and Randall Sexton.
