A Rainbow of Exotic Flavors
Rainbow Thai restaurant now in Fairfield
Fans of Rainbow Thai no longer need to go Westport to get their green curry fix—the popular restaurant has opened another location right on Unquowa Road. Owner Brakash Nath and his wife Elizabeth chose the new Fairfield spot for its proximity to town and train, and will offer both dine-in and take-out options. “It’s a great location and a great community,” says Elizabeth of their decision to open in the former Grilled Cheese Eatery on Donnelly Walk.
The space is simple and clean, leaving the focus on the food. Signature dishes include the aforementioned Green Curry, which is served with rice, veggies, and a choice of protein, and the Sizzling Pancakes, which are made from rice and are stuffed with seafood, ground pork, and veggies then topped with ground peanuts. If it’s noodles you crave, try the Pad See Ew, a delicious alternative to Pad Thai with broad rice noodles, broccoli, and a sweet-savory brown sauce.
