Tjasa Sprague, an expert in fine table settings, will give a talk about the history of tablescapes. Inspired by a recent lecture at the Clark Institute in Williamstown, Sprague will discuss the evolution of the table setting, which has grown to include opulent items such as delicate china, crystal and silver, salt cellars, and epergnes.
