Wanderers Exhibition
“Wanderers”, an exhibition which features Jeff Joyce’s landscape paintings, will be open from July 10th through August 5th at Darren Winston, Bookseller, 81 Main Street in Sharon, Connecticut. On July 14th, there will be a reception from 6 to 8 PM to celebrate the opening of the exhibition. Jeff Joyce, whose work has been said to “illuminate the soul of the natural world as Whistler and Yeats did,” is the recipient of the Distinguished Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Falk Visiting Artist award from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has held many solo exhibitions in such locations as New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Nantucket. Joyce’s ethereal paintings are thought provoking and offer a level of spiritual and symbolic meaning; come celebrate them on July 14th at Darren Winston, Bookseller.
Darren Winston carries a rare and unique array of books that are hard to find elsewhere. Whether it’s the first edition of A Charlie Brown Christmas or vintage paperbacks and pamphlets from the 1950’s, if you’re looking for an obscure book, this is the place to go. While also serving as an art gallery, this shop has a wealth of information and beautiful work to appreciate.
