Get Ready for Restaurant Week

Get Ready for Restaurant Week

From Monday, October 8th through Sunday, October 14th, restaurants across the state will be participating in the 5th Annual Connecticut Restaurant Week sponsored by the Connecticut Restaurant Association in conjunction with Sysco Connecticut and American Express.

Prices will be fixed at $20.12 for lunch or dinner menus. In some cases, places may offer a two-for-one special or a percentage off bottles of wine. Either way, it’s a deal!

"Restaurant Week provides diners with a unique opportunity to go out and enjoy a great meal at a great price,” said Nicole Griffin, Executive Director of Connecticut Restaurant Association, in a company press release. “Restaurants from Mystic to Stamford to Litchfield are participating in this year's event,"

There are a handful of restaurants in Fairfield and surrounding region that are participating. As an added bonus, there are also several restaurants in town that offer a prix fixe menu or certain specials on a regular basis to take advantage of. So, you may not have to wait until restaurant week to enjoy them. But certainly, the event is a great way for customers to try a new place.

“Restaurants and customers alike benefit from this great week of meals and deals,” added Griffin. “Connecticut is home to so many wonderful varieties of cuisines and Restaurant Week is a fantastic way to showcase them.”

There are more than 90 participating eateries this year. To find out which restaurants are offering a special menu for Restaurant Week, please go to www.ctrestaurant.org to see a full list of participating restaurants as well as their menus.

Below is a list of restaurants that are participating in restaurant week in our area. As an added bonus, the list beyond it has those restaurants that regularly offer a special or prix fixe menu.

About This Blog

Fairfield is a quaint little shore town tucked along the Gold Coast of the Long Island Sound. In 2006, Money Magazine rated the town as the ninth best place to live in the United States and the best place to live in the Northeast. We are a thriving community of active residents who walk, bike, hike, and run. And for our canine friends, it's a dog's life at the beaches and the hiking trails at Lake Mohegan. It is a great place for families and, with two major universities, it is a great place for students both young and old. With two epicenters of commerce on Post Road and Black Rock Turnpike, there is a range of shopping opportunities from major chains to Mom and Pop shops. Looking for a fun night out? Park your car in the center of town and the world is your oyster! See a concert at the Fairfield Theatre Company. Catch a movie at the Community Theater. Grab a bite to eat or a quick drink at any of the amazing restaurants peppered along the main drag. This blog celebrates all the things that are happening around town. Stop by and come see what all the fuss is about.
