Annual Clambake at Penfield Pavilion

Annual Clambake at Penfield Pavilion

If you’re new to the area and looking for a little fun, you might want to try the annual clambake hosted by the Welcome Club of Fairfield and Easton. This year’s event will be on Saturday, June 30th from 8:00 p.m. until midnight at the recently renovated Penfield Pavilion.

This is one of the most popular events the Welcome Club sponsors. It’s a BYOB dinner with a beautiful beach view. What more could you possibly want? Add a little music for dancing from DJ Bobby Van Tine and you’ve got a party going on! There will be a silent auction and prize drawing with proceeds going to Operation Hope.

The Welcome Club started out as a neighbor-to-neighbor meet-and-greet in 1950. Since then, it has morphed into a social club that has something for everyone: playgroups, book groups, ladies’ night out, men’s night out, poker, golf and more.

This event is open to the public. Members of the club pay $35 per person while non-members pay $45. Sea House Catering will supply all the goodies to choose from: Steamed Lobster, Grilled Herb Marinated Chicken, Rib Eye Steak, Grilled Teriyaki Glazed Swordfish or Vegetarian option. Enjoy with Baked Stuffed Clams, Shrimp Cocktail, Corn on the Cob, Red-Bliss Potatoes, Homemade Coleslaw, Fresh-Baked Brioche Rolls and of course Drawn Butter and Lemon.

Sounds delicious, doesn’t it? Then, make your reservations early as spots fill up quickly. Click here to RSVP.

About This Blog

Fairfield is a quaint little shore town tucked along the Gold Coast of the Long Island Sound. In 2006, Money Magazine rated the town as the ninth best place to live in the United States and the best place to live in the Northeast. We are a thriving community of active residents who walk, bike, hike, and run. And for our canine friends, it's a dog's life at the beaches and the hiking trails at Lake Mohegan. It is a great place for families and, with two major universities, it is a great place for students both young and old. With two epicenters of commerce on Post Road and Black Rock Turnpike, there is a range of shopping opportunities from major chains to Mom and Pop shops. Looking for a fun night out? Park your car in the center of town and the world is your oyster! See a concert at the Fairfield Theatre Company. Catch a movie at the Community Theater. Grab a bite to eat or a quick drink at any of the amazing restaurants peppered along the main drag. This blog celebrates all the things that are happening around town. Stop by and come see what all the fuss is about.
