Get Up and Dance!
John Jay Homestead's annual Barn Dance
The historic John Jay Homestead welcomes locals of all ages to participate in country-style revelry on September 17, 2016 as part of the annual Barn Dance, a perennial favorite.
Lively music will ensure that attendees dance the evening away. Many of the performing bands are associated with the nearby School of Rock. Fuel those boogie moves with a slice of wood-fired pizza from Mobile Pie. Jon Bueti, owner of Mount Kisco’s Village Social Kitchen and Bar, will also provide food. Dessert will consist of a make-your-own sundae station and ooey-gooey s’mores around the campfire. Kids will appreciate a dog and pony show, presented by third-generation animal trainer Jenny Vidbel, who also performs with the Big Apple Circus. Three separate acts will take place over the course of the evening. The Homestead will also abound in glow sticks, cowboy hats, and bandanas for the youngsters’ entertainment.
Ticket prices vary depending on age and membership status. Those who prove interested may take part in a new philanthropic opportunity by underwriting tickets for a member of the Boys & Girls Club to attend the dance along with his or her family. Visit and experience a piece of history.
