Oyster Happy Hour in Kisco!
There’s a new game in town—Mount Kisco, that is. It’s Little Drunken Chef, the latest eatery from Bonnie Saran of the “Little” triumvirate across Main Street. Little Drunken Chef has a whole new vibe. Sure, there are exposed brick walls and a rustic décor, like its sister restaurants, but the bar scene sets this place apart.
In nice weather the entire front façade of this oyster and tapas bar can be rolled open for dining al fresco. The selection of fresh oysters at $1.25 each changes daily. During happy hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm, there are five-dollar draught beers, wines on tap, and sangria.
The menu, which advertises several gluten-free options, offers tapas such as Ceviche Shots, a Tipsy Goat Salad, Jamon & Manchego Croquetas, and Giant Wild Mushroom Ravioli, as well as big bowls of Paella—enough for one, two or four patrons. Cocktails are creative (Drunken Chef Manhattan—served in a flask) and refreshing, and the staff is entertaining. A sign over the entrance to the kitchen proudly states “Drunken Chefs @ Work Behind this Wall.” Sidle up to the bar or grab a table for date night or a fun girls/boys night out.
