The Tasting Room
The Tasting Room in Greenwich provides an exquisite dining experience- but you have to get in first

Behind the curtains on a quiet street in Greenwich is a chambre des secrets. You have to be on “the list” to receive an invitation to this private supper club where a dozen lucky souls eat world-class, seasonal, local food at a communal table.
The Tasting Room evolved organically (natch) from Maison Privé, a boutique catering company started by Bedford’s Jennifer and James Vellano after they honed their culinary skills at eateries such as Per Se and Blue Hill at Stone Barns. When the chefs decided to create a dining space, they turned to Kickstarter to raise the $10,000 to fund the renovation.
While the bread and butter of Maison Privé’s business are event catering and custom meal delivery, the buzz in Bedford is all about getting a seat in The Tasting Room. Dinners start at $100 and can be private or communal. A spring meal might include cheese and charcuterie, followed by canapés, three fresh courses, and dessert.
