Bedford 2020 Food Forum on March 4
Celebrate Hudson Valley local food at the Bedford 2020 Food Forum on March 4, 2017 at Fox Lane High School. The Food Forum will provide education, action, and delicious experiences for all attendees, beginning with a keynote address from New York Times food journalist Mark Bittman (pictured above), followed by a series of dynamic workshops and panel discussions, an interactive local food expo, fabulous food, and closing address by chef and Wholesome Wave founder Michel Nischan.
The forum is planned around four themes. Eat: Celebrate and drive action around local food issues. Buy: Explore ways to buy, evaluate, and afford healthy, delicious local food. Grow: Learn to grow and enjoy your own backyard harvest. Share: Discover what’s happening around local food security and accessibility in our community and how to get involved.
There will be four sessions, during which you can choose to attend a workshop or wander through the food expo where you can ask questions of renowned food experts, local farmers, chefs and restaurateurs, agriculture policymakers, health experts, farm-market and CSA organizers, and food-sharing organizations.
