Art for Good

Community fundraiser "Art Show: Bedford" gala event––Jan 19 Art show free for the public––Jan 20-28

Each year, the Women of St. Matthew’s kick off the new year with Art Show: Bedford, a major fundraiser as well as a signature social occasion. The show, founded by the late Mary Berol, has become a local institution, and the proceeds are used to support outreach programs for organizations such as A-Home, Community Center of Northern Westchester, Mt. Kisco Interfaith Pantry, and Neighbor’s Link

In honor of the show’s 45th anniversary, the Women of St. Matthew’s have shifted the venue this year back to Bedford Historical Hall, where it originated decades ago. Participating artists include, among others, Julie Testwuide, Betsy Podlach, Carol Bouyoucos, Laurel Boeck, Paul Briggs, Jane Cooper, Alexis Thompson, Drew Klotz, and Pamela Stoddart (“Tulips Grow in the Grass,” shown above).

Come to the  preview party on Friday, January 19, 2017 for a sneak peak at this year’s show and sale. Wine and champagne will be flowing, hors d’oeuvres by Happiness Is will be served, and lively musical entertainment will be performed by DogBone. Tickets for the preview party are $125 (advance) and $150 (at the door).

The show and sale, chaired by Laura Blau, will be open to the public (free admission) on Saturday and Sunday, January 20 and 21, 2017 as well as Friday through Sunday, January 26 to 28.  artshowbedford.org
